Everyone hits a wrong note now and then -- everyone, even professional singers. Gertrude Lawrence was a big Broadway star and had troubles staying on pitch, but she had such charisma, people didn't care. Asperger's has nothing to do with embarrassment. Everyone feels like they sound stupid; Lena Horne wishes she sounded like Aretha Franklin. Lessons are the place to make mistakes and learn how to correct them. I'm still amazed at the difference voice lessons made in my voice. Go for it.

I'm having trouble feeling the resonance in the mask area. I don't sound bad when I sing, but i've just never been able to feel it in my face. Also i think I have slight tongue tension sometimes. How do i get rid of that ? i've almost tried anything.. I've even tried putting a finger down my throat to make the lower part of my tongue relax and go down, but it causes gagging a lot haha. It's so annoying because it's causes my tone to get a little bit thin/light, and I want a big boomy rock tone. Please give a tip on how remove tension from the tongue

My problem is I just don't understand what all of these vague abstract phrases mean like breathing from your stomach or making your voice go around through an opening. How the hell are you supposed to breathe from your stomach as opposed to your lungs? And what's a sound with a curving motion that he's making as opposed to a square or zig-zag sound or something? It's like pretentious modern art crap that no one understands, except with this everyone but me seems to get it.

actually your grammar and spelling are worse than your sound.

You are used to hearing your voice with virbrations, you think you sound like that to everyone so when you hear yourself you don't like it because it's not what you expected. Keep recording yourself and you will get used to it!
