Yes another excellent video on technique that I will pass on to my students as this is well articulated.

Best traditional grip how to video on KZbin. Thanks

I have been playing drums for a long time and I always had difficulty with the traditional grip so I always had a fast right hand so I can compensate with the right hand and the left hand just goes with it but I like the way you teach the traditional grip

Thank you so much for your lessons! I think I'll give Zoom lessons a shot instead of struggling to get to local studios. Quick question though, what practice is that? That is really cool and I like the regular drum head option. Thanks!

You are welcome. That's a Sabian Quiet Tone pad. It has feet that sit on the drum so as it mutes you can still get some good snare buzz. It can also sit by itself on any flat surface.

Hello Maria, after two year of learning I'm returning to basics. Is there any stretching exercises that you do for your fingers, wrists and forearms? Thank you for your great videos.

Hi I'm making good progress with trad grip but I can't help thinking that my fingers are too short to do it properly 🤔 I can play almost anything OK with the grip but is it possible I'll never be totally proficient because of finger length?

I’m looking to get two playing surfaces, one quiet and one normal. Do you have a practice pad or two that you’d recommend to achieve this?
@MariaWulfMusic7 ай бұрын
Hi Brian. To be honest, I haven't purchased a practice pad in quite a while so I'm not super familiar with what's out there these days. The main ones I use is a two sided Evans Real Feel pad. It has a medium rubber on one side (as you see in this video) and a hard rubber side. I really don't like the feel of the hard side. It feels like playing on a table. The other one I use is a Sabian Quiet Tone practice pad that uses a drum head and has feet that allow it to sit on a snare and get some snare sound, or it can sit on any solid surface. I would recommend going to a music store where they would have a selection for you to check out and see what might work for you. Good luck and let me know what you end up going with.

How to "catch" bounce? without stick flying away.
@michaelkarnowibowo57725 ай бұрын
I can't change my left hand grip like that. My left hand is the same as my right hand. Lucky people who see this video have the same left hand holding the stick😢
