Would pay to check the swr on antenna to see if it is tuned to suit your car

Right. I know 1:1 is ideal… It was checked twice, by the installing shop and by the Jeep mechanic.

Thanks for the video. I have the same handheld cb. I read in the manual if you plug in the base power/antenna unit like you have, the top antenna shouldn't be connected or is used. Don't know if that is affecting your signal.

Hmm… I would take it to a car audio or CB shop to test. Or have a buddy with a CB talk back and forth to test it.
