Approach notes technique is what made me go to a very big " next level " in just a few weeks, Jeff Antoniuk have made a serie of free lessons on approach notes or "enclosures"on youtube. These are very good and easy to understand. This one too is good and comprehensive, Excellent Brendon!

Once upon a time in the 80s everyone was trying to avoid the cookie cutter end results of immersion in bop methodology. So a different more Shorter/ Wheeler kind of harmony or reharmonisation ended up being pursued by me at least . It's interesting to see what this bop obsession ends up producing.

Seems that all the mystery begins in knowing your chords(arpeggios)

It also seems to me that all those great bebop cats thought more of changing chords rather than any scales that may have hide behind it but I may be wrong.
