It may well be that everything comes together in a combination of an instrument and a perfect composition by J. S. Bach.
I think that is the case here with this Vox Humana 8' from the Hinsz organ in Kampen [NL].
This Vox Humana 8' sound is almost unearthly beautiful because of its extraordinarily lilting and melancholic tone.
BWV 208
BWV 208, also known as the Hunting Cantata, is a secular cantata composed by Johann Sebastian Bach for the 31st birthday of Duke Christian of Saxe-Weissenfels on 23 February 1713.
The aria "Schafe können sicher weiden" ("Sheep May Safely Graze") is the most familiar part of this cantata.
It is Bach's earliest surviving secular cantata, composed while he was employed as a court organist in Weimar. Was this cantata intended as a gift to Bach's employer, William Ernest, Duke of Saxe-Weimar, for his neighboring ruler, Duke Christian, who was an avid hunter?
Bach stayed in Weißenfels in 1713
Bach was appointed royal Kapellmeister in 1729, but this position as court composer did not require residence at court.

Dat is misschien het geval bij Vox Humana van het Hinsz-orgel te Kampen [NL].
Deze Vox Humana klinkt is bijna onaards mooi vamwege de buitengewoon zangerige en melancholieke toon.
BWV 208
Bachs vroegst bewaarde seculiere cantate, gecomponeerd toen hij als hoforganist in Weimar werkte.
Was deze cantate bedoeld als geschenk aan Bachs werkgever, Willem Ernest, hertog van Saksen-Weimar, voor zijn naburige heerser, hertog Christian, die een fervent jager was?
Bach verbleef in 1713 in Weißenfels
Bach werd 1729 benoemd tot koninklijke kapelmeester, maar voor deze positie als hofcomponist was geen verblijf aan het hof vereist.
ORGEL
Het oudste pijpwerk in het orgel (vooral de fluiten 4′ en 2′ van het Bovenwerk) is waarschijnlijk afkomstig van Jan Morlet (1629).
1676 voltooide Jan Slegel een nieuw orgel, waarbij hij materialen [van Jan Morlet (1629)] uit het oude orgel gebruikte.
1694-1712 Johan Duyschot onderhoud.
1741-1743 Albertus Anthoni Hinsz verricht deze werkzaamheden:
nieuwe kas
vernieuwing alle windkanalen, laden en mechaniek.
Er kwamen registers bij.
1788/1789 H.H. Freytag en F.C. Schnitger Jr. vervaardigen:
Vrij pedaal (8 registers)
Borstwerk met 4 stemmen, bespeelbaar vanaf het Bovenwerk-klavier.
De Dulciaan 8′ Rugwerk verhuist naar Borstwerk.
In Rugwerk op vrijgekomen plaats, Fagot 16′.
19e eeuw Van Gruisen, Scheuer en Naber werken aan het orgel.
1866 Zwier van Dijk gaf het Borstwerk een eigen klavier en voegde hij registers toe.
1967-75 restauratie door orgelmakerij Bakker & Timmenga, Leeuwarden.
Acht registers van omstreeks 1820-1866 bleven aanwezig op aparte lade.
2000 is het instrument “gerevitaliseerd” door Orgelmakers Gebr. Reil.
Het pijpwerk is op aanspraak en egaliteit gecontroleerd, zeven keilbalgen aangesloten op windmachine, nechanieken afgesteld en reparaties verricht.

The oldest pipes in the organ (especially the flutes 4′ and 2′ of the Bovenwerk) probably come from Jan Morlet (1629).

The pipework has been checked, the 7 expansion bellows have been connected to the wind machine, the mechanics have been adjusted and repairs have been made.

Beste Willem, Dank voor je reaktie, je speelt fantastisch en ik ben al jaren gecharmeerd van orgelspel, heb jaren geleden ook klassieke stukken van Bach op mijn orgel gespeeld en weet hoe moeilijk dit is, de sound van zo'n kerkorgel is ongelooflijk mooi, dat blijft altijd in mijn hart zitten, jer begrijpt denk ik wel wat ik bedoel. This is actually the perfect speed for this piece (which I am, in fact, aiming for on the piano), and to be able to do this demonstrates much skill in playing the organ. Also, whoever said you played too slow is just jealous of your tremendous talent. I recently tried to play the organ and the pedals are definitely an adjustment, even for a 10-year pianist. The organ truly is a grand instrument and you are my go-to source of videos for popular Lutheran classical pieces (I attend a Lutheran church and we often hear pieces like Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring and Sheep May Safety Graze). Congrats for the amazing job!

Thanks for the upload ,- performed perfectly as all of your uploads have been (at least from my perspective), im here in the US and (with sacred music, specifically organ ) i wish there were more people exposed to the organ- !(beyond this almost ubiquitous assumption that these are antiquated instruments that sit in the church ) and/or take an interest in the music that Bach, Vivaldi, St. Saens, etc wrote for this magnificent instrument. - ☆*sigh * ' - oh well , their loss!!! Thanks for the links to sheet music in the description , that is an oft 'overlooked' issue as more and more people seek digital , or other means to acquire sheet music. I just read your history today and i could tell by the performance of the Bach "air" , that you , at the very least - were an incredible organist. Ive yet to listen to one i wasnt immediately impressed with. I do play , -28 yrs piano and maybe about half of that - venturing onto the organ (Allen) at my Presbyterian Church in NC, and really just recieving a few pointers from the forner organist. I can only one day wish to play (somewhere near your level )and travel to Europe and where all of these fantastic organs reside. Thanks again for the uploads

Bach composed this cantata for Sunday service, as he was the Director of Music in Leipzig and and had to compose cantatas every week for Sunday services, as well as teaching. Bach was a busy man.
