I am an old boomer, I remember when the month of May was about the Indianapolis 500. The networks will interview names like A.J. Foyt, Johnny Rutherford, Mario Andretti, the Unsers, they will show, and report qualifying who was on "the bubble" . Today the Indianapolis 500 is not even the greatest show in Indiana nobody cares, all of it thanks to the incompetence of Roger Penske. I think the days of the Indy 500 are numbered, especially with EV s.

I was there in 2007. Weather delays weren’t amazing but we still had a good time. Hope they just run it in full Monday.

There is no cancellation. If necessary, the race will be run tomorrow. People are asked to leave to prevent them being hit by lightning.
