The season just finished yet the hype is still ongoing, loads of things to be excited for: Personally, I'm looking forward to the Ligier LMP2 fighting against the Oreca army and the stacked GTD Pro field next year. Shame there isnt a full-time GTD Pro Merc anymore but at least SunEnergy will carry the flag for the enduros.

Possibly! I don’t think JDC Miller will, but potentially Proton. They said they want to have 2 Porsche 963’s in IMSA and WEC.

Any word on WRT and their BMW Hypercar in the Rolex 24? Especially since WRT, just like RLL, is supported by BMW.

For now, I don’t believe WRT will race at Daytona this year with the BMW LMDh. I think they are solely sticking to the WEC. However, we may see RLL come to the 24h of Le Mans with at least 1 entry from IMSA, that is just a rumor though!

Not sure why you are surprised by Pfaff moving to a Mclaren given that they are Canada's importer/distributor of the brand. I was more surprised that McLaren allowed them to race anything else. Best IMSA grid ever? Maybe. Certainly rivals the heyday of Nissan, Jaguar, Porsche, Mazda, Rousch, etc. battling it out in GTP/GTO in the early '90s

The most diverse GTP field was in 1986: BMW, Buick, Chevrolet, Ford, Jaguar, Porsche and Nissan.

I am more surprised at the fact they are switching to McLaren because of how iconic that #9 Porsche entry is and their rich history with running Porsches. Not that 1 team is better then the other, just didn’t expect that to happen!

@@RennsportRacer No argument there, loved the Mustang (was that the 7-11 car?) and I love Tullius so much that I own the rights to the "Group 44" name here. The problem in 86 was that the GT class kinda sucked. I debated what year to bring up and 91-92 was amazing in both the GTP and the GTO classes, like 2024 in GTP and GT Pro.

@@FormulaJonah Pfaff and the other Porsche teams were unhappy with IMSA's BOP on the new Porsche which rendered it embarrassingly uncompetitive at the Rolex ( TWO seconds a lap behind some other makes ) and then didn't get much better during the year. The downbeat tone in their social media posts were clear to us who follow them there. They had to do something to avoid endangering their sponsorship contracts. Not knowing their connections already in place with McLaren, I was surprised by the "who" ( was thinking Aston Martin or BMW) than the "what".

I hope IMSA get the LMP2 BOP right so the ligier can compete, because as weve seen when the ligier was last competing with the orecas which was at le mans. They were absolutely no where compared to the orecas Also im supporting the 6 car in GTP. I like watching Ben Keating in the PR1 52 car in LMP2. GTD PRO corvette and phaff, REXY now too. And GTD I like watching vasser sulivan, aswell as there GTD PRO entry too

As well as the Lambo performed at the test, it's a shame they aren't racing at Daytona this year... Also, as a mustang owner, I wish they'd bin that GT3 car, quit bragging about winning Le Mans 60 something years ago, and build a damn LMDh and have the guts to take the thing to Le Mans. It's put up or shut up time Ford... Ferrari just won Le Mans and you're building a damn GT3 car. NOT A GOOD LOOK.
