The really sad thing about Tommy Kendall's accident was that despite suffering serious leg injuries and highlighting the danger of that corner, no action was taken by the owner's of the track, nor were any plans made to improve the safety there. JD McDuffie would crash in that same corner just a month later and pay the ultimate price.

"No one was seriously hurt" Dale and Barbazza both suffered career-ending injuries in their crash. It took Dale two years to be able to walk normally again and Barbazza was in a coma with severe head injuries.

the crash between Memo Gidley and Mataeo Malucelli was in 2014, not 2012.

Great video, but it should be noted that Memo Gidley was seriously injured in the first clip, contrary to the video description. However, it was not fatal or career ending luckily.

Saw the Bill Auberlen crash at the Glen, live from the turn 10 grandstands. Still don't know exactly what happened. Seemed like some kind of mechanical failure. Auberlen isn't the kind of driver to just let his BMW get upside down like that. See you at the Roar 2024...
