Thanks a lot for this great tutorial. Still a lot of practice for me, but you've explained it so well that I'm confident to fluently play and sing to it soon. :-) Definitely checking out your other tutorials aftewards. One small remark - I found a tab online that suggests playing a Dm in the second part of the chorus ".. nowhere else will I .." instead of the Fmaj7. Both fit, but it sounds like she's actually playing the Dm on the record.

Thank you so much for your kind words! And thanks for the heads up on that variation there as well. I'll pin your comment so the others can see it as well.

Thanks so much for this tutorial. It is perfect! The more I listen to this song, the more I love it. I'm used to play with pick, so not easy for me. Just one hint: Your PayPal link doesn't work - worked it out: the ')' seems to be included

question from a beginner: how do you position your fingers on the upward strum ? I struggle with the technique as my fingers tend to get stuck in the lower e-string. any simple tipps for better technique ? thanks!
@hennareytutorials4 жыл бұрын
Hey Felix, I don't really understand what you mean exactly, it's pretty difficult to assess this without seeing. From what I know when I was a beginner, I usually got stuck on the high E string (so the first one you encounter when you strum up). A general tip would be to use either the left side of the your thumb and tilt your wrist slightly towards the guitar to strum up, or to use your index finger. Sorry for the dodgy explanation, hope it helps anyway haha

@@hennareytutorials *high e string is what i meant! thanks for your reply - encouraging to just keep practicing the strumming :) cheers!

@@ccallez Ah okay, that makes more sense haha! Then my advice is still the same. Also, try to use not too much of your finger, but rather just the tip (sorry about that haha) and you won't get stuck as much anymore I think. But it's all just about coordination and your hands will get the hang of it some time!

Any suggestion for a good strumming pattern for the ukulele?
