One of the most popular folk, pop songs of the sixtys written by Bob Dylan- Don't Think Twice it's Alright" is taught here , and in this series we are going to accommodate beginners, intermediate and advances guitarist with renditions that are both for vocal accompaniment and solo fingerstyle.
This particular lesson taught by Bob Harris, is a prelude to the original rendition, using easier one and two fingered chords in place of more complex chords. Beginners who are endeavoring to learn fingerstyle guitar will appreciate the simplicity of this lesson, and also enjoy the melodic sense of the substitute chords and simple arrangement to this classic song.
In this video, the right hand pattern of "Thumb over Thumb is used. This pattern along with the easy chord changes, will be very valuable for beginners to be able to play this classic song without struggling for months to learn new and difficult chords changes that Bob Dylan used. The substitute chords which are easy, are also melodic and in the spirit of "Don't Think Twice." and can be used by intermediate and advanced students for a vocal backup.
