Hi Amy. My mother use to make homemade yogurt when we were kids. She would also make a spread out of the yogurt. She would put the yogurt in the fridge for a couple of days. She would than pour the yogurt into a bag made out of cotton or you can use an unused pillow case made out of cotton. She would put the bag in a strainer overnight. The next morning she would take out the yogurt which at this time is more like a spread and put it in a container. You can use this spread on crackers, pita bread, etc. We would also drizzle some olive oil on the creamed yogurt. It is absolutely delicious. We call it labaneh in arabic, I lover your videos and I wish you and your family the best of everything.

hi Amy I have never covered a turkey or a chicken. Raised 5 kids now 69 so done a fair amount of cooking . Watch any chief they don't either. it will be tender and very moist. It is beat to let it rest before cutting. Every year I wrap my turkey in foil and lay a large towel over it stays hot for 4 hours. I also use a meat temp to not over cook the other key to drying it out is over cooking. Love your shows thanks for sharing.

Hi Amy!! It's me again LOL. My Grandmother's recipe for left-over mashed potatoes. Thought you might like this one. Omit your sour cream (optional on the side when serving). Mashed potatoes, 1 egg, S&P, 2 tsps oil & flour until it's stiff enough for patties. Use 2 Tbsps (or 1 ice cream scoop) per patty, place them into a skillet about 1 inch apart, smash them down a little & fry them until golden brown & crispy around the edges. They can be served with almost anything OR by themselves. You could dip them in the sour cream, ketchup or any sauce you want that you usually dip french fries in. Hope u like. :)

Omgosh...my husband used to take my baster too...I don't know how many I bought over the years because they would disappear. The last one I got was sage green and so pretty...sure enough, it disappeared and he acted like he had no clue what happened to it...He sadly passed away at a young age and as I was cleaning out the out buildings later on, I found it! But of course, I forgave him for the fib and actually got a laugh out of it.

One of the best benefits to having an Insta Pot is being able to cook any meat from a solid frozen state. Of course you lose the extra browning taste, but Better Than Boullion added gives some extra roasting flavor.

I cooked my turkey in a huge Rival Roaster, and by the time it was done, the meat was falling off of the bone. It was delicious! I also put water and Knorr Bullion cubes at the bottom of the roaster, and will baste the turkey with one stick of butter three times to give it that salty, buttery flavor. YUM! I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it. LOL ;D Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :D

Might have missed it. But if it has a bag, do I pull it out midway cooking? Once it's "thawed" or can I leave it in....I accidentally left the bag in and when it was done it was melted to the inside of the turkey. I was very pregnant and very sad 😅🤣🤦‍♀️ It was thawed though and cooked at 350. I forget the size though... I just don't want to have it happen again lol

My first turkey I cooked it with the giblets, moist turkey. I always shove them back in now. I also started flipping it breast down 10 years ago. Not as pretty it falls apart like that chicken. White meat is as moist as the dark with minimal basting. My kids never liked turkey because it was too dry, until I flipped it.

I always separate the skin from the meat on the breats and legs and make an herbed butter to stuff under the skin and rub all over the outside. I also use a roasting bag and it's always so juicy and tender and it's so golden brown. This year I'm going to try it in the crock pot since I'm only doing a breast and I'm hoping it will turn out nice. I'm like you, it doesn't matter what it looks like as long as it tastes great!

There was a lot of wasted space on this. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm trying to find a recipe for frozen turkey. And speaking of wasted time, it appears to me you don't have an instant pot! All those kids and all that cooking without an instant pot?! That's a crime! I have two ten quart and one eight quart. A ten quart would be perfect for you. How do I know you don't have an instant pot? You are making yogurt, but using bullion cubes for your chicken. Bullion cubes! The instant pot would be your best friend when it comes to making a chicken bone broth in your instant pot. Bone broth normally takes over 24 hours to make. You can make it in a few hours in your instant pot! What to do with bone broth? Besides just drinking it, you can make gravy with it. You can baste your turkey with it (if you don't cook it in the instant pot). And guess what? IT HAS A YOGURT SETTING!!! You need an instant pot!! And THEN you need to make videos using it. Now off I go to find a chicken recipe so I don't have to run my oven all day...have fun (with your instant pot). I got mine on Amazon. Do not get a 6 quart. They seem to have issues. Plus, I've never regretted getting an 8 quart for just hubby and me (kids are grown). But you could use a 10 quart. PS. I am not making money off this ad...I mean...post. I just love my 7-in-1 instant pot!

It's not recommended because the bacteria on the chicken can get on your surfaces and sink. If you miss a spot cleaning up after it could make you ill. I've never cleaned chicken before and I don't have any gunk issues.
