This is what food challenges are supposed to be: not catered exclusively towards competitive eaters with a price tag that just rips people off, but built so it's a fun challenge that some normies could pull off but many normies couldn't without being scammed (the reason most people never even dare do challenges, because they're extremely overpriced), while also being a great marketing strategy to bring in business.

It is weird. That one sign in the video with the challenge says 20" pizza but the 63sq in area corresponds to 18" and on their menu they have 18" not 20" pizzas. I wonder if they used to make 20" pizzas for their slices but dropped down to 18" but they never got rid of the challenge or updated that one sign that says 20". I found a challenge video from 4 years ago and the pizza was much thicker, no way it could be folded like beard did. They showed them making the challenge pizza and it was made with two dough balls. I bet their pizzas are only being made with one ball of dough now and the resulting shrinkflation has made the challenge much easier.

The math checks out if it's an 18 inch pizza, works out to 63.62 square inches. Easy enough to figure out if you work backwards. 63 x 4 / pi and then take the square root (or realize that it's damn close to 81 and the square root of 81 is 9). As soon as he said the math doesn't work out, my engineer brain went to work. I first assumed a 24 inch pizza because that would be a good size for a challenge (before i realized he said it was supposed to be 20 inches) but that was way too big so I worked my way down and then decided to work backwards. Of course the math doesn't work out for a different reason than he thought, he thought that 63 square inches would be massive. Though circles are notoriously difficult to estimate area for, 63 square inches isn't that big, it's just under the area of a square 8 inches on a side

I'm from/currently living in Chicago and have never even heard mention of this place, let alone their sad excuse for the pizza. Most reviews said it's equivalent to school cafeteria pizza lmao

@@divineplaya710 the big thing for them, and why its worth supporting them even if its not the best pizza, is their support/ feeding of the homeless. Feeding those in need means ill support your business, even if its not as tasty

@divineplaya710 the location is Oak Lawn at 95th and Cicero. The guy in the video said Chicago cause people know Chicago and not the near suburb of Oak Lawn. The pizza is fine, not the best. But they offer stadium pizzas that are huge and a great deal if serving alot of people.
