Mark Gatiss is a national treasure, as both a writer and an actor. Every single character he played in League of Gentlemen was a work of art, as were those played by his fellow actors. For me, that series was on a par with Fawlty Towers in terms of genius comedy writing and its realisation. Thank you Mark.

Cheers for that. Mark Gatiss doesn't do dull interviews apparently.

Genius and nice with it. Superb talent. Indeed suspense is something TV doesn't do enough of these days, oh to go to Lew Grade and say: Mia series

Okey nope Gatiss just became one of my favorite screenwriters for the very reason he collects fossils and wanted to be a paleontologist?! My man, just brilliant, I so wanna see his collection, mine is tiny but I have a pterosaur tooth, my pride and joy.

Always great to meet a fellow loud and proud Wilkie Collins fan. Begs the question: why doesn't Gatiss adapt the sadly underrated Collins, instead of yet another retelling of Dracula ?

I think it might be too difficult to pitch to the BBC. At the end of the day, he needs money to film a show, and Dracula attracts more viewers.

I’m a massive Wilkie Collins fan as well; it’s almost eerie how many of his interests (Sherlock, Hammer Horror) I share. Freaks unite!
