I'm envious of the hungarian people for having such a sharp, pragmatic & firm leader. The sharp contrast between Orban & the rest of the puppet european leaders is an interesting case study of the philosophical concepts of object & subject. On one hand, you have a Subject : Mr Orban who is fighting tooth & nail to safeguard his people's interests & promote peace, therefore a leader who is capable of critical thinking & action, on the other hand, you have objects = a flock of sheep who are self sabotaging & becoming vassal states of the far away US neocon state, promoting more war & destruction in the name of their puppet master. The interviewer was pathetically unsuccessfully trying to push the warmongering down Orban's throat, but to his dismay, the hungarian PM is a sensible man of conviction who answered every question with the utmost reason & pragmatism. There goes my love letter to the hungarian leadership ! I wish hungarians all the best ♡ warm greetings from Spain 😊

Bloomberg tried to position him as someone lacking principles and turning side for petty interests. Orban instead demonstrated how any upright European statesman should look at the problem and take a firm strategic stance. He also mentioned that while the EU only ran to the Qatary in the current energy crisis, he has held a longstanding strategic relationship with Qatar from the beginning back in the nineties.

Pragmatic is exactly the word that I always use to describe him. It's true of Péter Szijjártó, too. And I think that Zelenskiy is the opposite. He seems like a guy who is extremely motived by emotions, like that is his compass. So I can see why they clash. And the strange thing is that I admire them both, and see where both of them are coming from. I see Orban's viewpoint. He's coming at Russia's war from an extremely pragmatic standpoint, whereas Ze is coming at it from an emotional one (both things are understandable). And they're BOTH standing up for their country. The only thing is that Ze seems to not be able to understand why Hungary is standing up for its own interests - but, honestly, that's understandable, too. I mean... ...think about it. The poor guy has worked non-stop for basically two years. He has seen, up close, the murder/rape/torture of so very many Ukrainians, including children. He's risked his life, hardly sees his family, and has had - by all accounts - very little sleep for practically two years. So. He sees all this suffering and murder, and he just wants it to stop. Now. And I get that. He can't understand Orban, he has trouble seeing that Orban is just doing what he himself is doing - standing up for his country - because the poor guy is exhaused beyond belief, knee-deep in PTSD by now, and on and on. And, you know, you also have to wonder if there's some bad feelings towards Ukraine from Hungary....I meant he USSR, look what they did to Hungary, and Ukraine was part of the USSR.

Amazing how Viktor Orban was ready/able/willing to speak the truth about the Ukrainian situation, and repeatedly emphasized that his job is to prioritize Hungarian interests. His speech is direct and succinct and earnest, not full of well-rehearsed political slogans. That sets him apart from most leaders of the West (including ours here in the US) who are more eager to prolong the proxy war in Ukraine than to focus on the pressing issues at home. Bravo to him and to the people of Hungary!

Orbán earned much applause from the mainly Arab audience for his criticism of the way Washington and the EU leadership in Brussels try to interfere in Hungary's internal affairs and presume to dictate what is right and what is wrong. There was renewed applause when Orbán emphasised that his policy is guided by what is good for his country, and that includes maintaining good relations with Russia and China. The opposing policies in Washington and the EU in Brussels are wrong and he will not sacrifice the interests and future of his people to the pursuit of these wrong policies.

In terms of political influence, Hungary is actually more important than it seems. As the foreign minister of Hungary says, Hungary often represents the positions of other countries' leaders in the EU, that those leaders want to represent but are too weak to do so. Hungary is also working together with Austria and Serbia to help reduce the flow of migrants into Europe. Hungary also works together with and influences the V4 group of countries, which includes its brother country - Poland. Hungary has had referendums during elections. Now Poland will do the same thing in its next election in October.
