Mr. Sakamoto died today (04/02/2023). I’ve been listening to his music for over 40 plus years and have never heard him speak English at length if at all. I have not gotten the opportunity to see the “Coda” movie. When someone famous, who you never met, yet had an effect or influence on your life or merely entertained you, it’s like a vibration in the world has ceased…

I'm listening to his album BTTB right now on this lazy sultry day, and it's so beautiful.

He's the first person i heard describing immigrants as talents, in the sea of racial epithets and names. Very humanising. RIP Legend.

This is a fantastic talk X2... but all I can see is Sakamoto's Thom Browne Cardigan at @18:00...
I have enormous respect for Ryuichi, and have met him.He is a vast talent and a lovely guy but with an even bigger ego. And he is so wrong on this issue. Nuclear is the only option to address 'climate change'...millions will die if he gets his way.
