i honestly don't give a flying fuck about any fandom: welcome home is an absolute masterpiece of modern horror media and it deserves every ounce of popularity it gets simply for being one of the only horror ARGs in existence to have so much effort and heart put into it that you get sucked into it's world and actually get attached to the characters you KNOW something bad is going to happen to. i'm into welcome home for welcome home,not whatever stupid people decide they also happen to like it.

@@SugareeeDemon1201 and how. i'm not a big horror ARG fan but welcome home is so well done that it's impossible not to get sucked into it because not only is the story great and the characters are fun but level of detail is amazing and it honestly makes you WANT to buy merch because you know that a good chuck of that money is going back into the project to keep it as good as it is. do updates take a while? sure. but that's what makes it all the more fun when one finally drops and you get to see how many secrets you can find this time and see how things have progressed with the lore. it's a fantastic piece of art and deserves to be noted as such.

@@yamato6114 every fandom is absolute garbage so it's always best to just do your own thing. sometimes it's better to just enjoy something by yourself so you can enjoy it on your own terms without anyone else in the way.

Great video!! As an older fan of Welcome Home (36 as of now), it's kinda wild to see when people are like, "bUt ThE fAnDoM!" And I'll tell them, "were you not around for the Hetalia fandom in 2009? Were you not around when SuperWhoLock was a thing?" And the answer is either yes or no lol. It's trippy when I was 23 years old being really into Homestuck, when a lot of the fanbase where teenage kids, so I couldn't really be in "the community" other than the few other people I met around my age. But all that rambling aside, I do hope a lot of folks just enjoy Welcome Home for its wonderful everything and stop being so worried about "being cringe". Like, honey, folks at anime conventions in 2006 had yaoi paddles, you drawing Howdy as buzz lightyear is nothing xD

Welcome Home is the only fandom I've joined where I was genuinely nervous joining because of its very messy beginning. I felt if I did anything at all, I'd get the hammer immediately. I still choose to keep my interest in WH on the down-low and stay in a tiny circle within the fandom ☹️

I was honestly super confused when I started to be in the welcome home fandom and what seemed like all of the sudden there was a lot of talk about how messed up the welcome home fandom was. I pretty much only ever saw amazing fan art the entire time and that's still all I really see to this day. This doesn't negate the fact that there are specifically a lot of things that crossed the creator's boundaries, which is something I saw. And it just really sucked to see them very obviously stressed out from how chaotic things got. Welcome home is one of my favorite things. Literally everything about it is almost like it was made specifically for me lol. And honestly I love the fandom, which is filled with a bunch of super skilled and talented artists, as well as a BUNCH of people that will look at the chaos of what happened and call it out right then and there.

I was gonna make a video about this on my channel but I literally had no idea how to put into words and what you said here was exactly what I wanted to say and you worded everything beautifully. Welcome Home is a HUGE special interest for me. It’s the biggest hyperfixation I’ve ever had since my Yo Kai Watch hyperfixation and I’m literally so glad I don’t have the “ima enjoy this fandom while it lasts before people ruin it” mindset because I’m a YEAR into my WH fixation and I’m still enjoying it and I’m literally so SICK of these freaking people trying to demonize it because some unsavory people are acting horribly. Just enjoy the damn media and leave people alone and stop worrying about things

damn i had no idea this was happening (Im not usually in fandom spaces so thats probably why) but i got into welcome home 4 days after it blew up i think so not even a slow person was NOT not aware of it. it existed everywhere and then ppl started to say theyve given up on it and the fandom blah blah blah, and i didnt understand. but i i like lost some ppl over these things and yet have no idea that there happening. i think thats pretty wild. idk smth i wanted to share. edit: i do enjoy welcome home to this day. i check on it every now and then. fi i miss updates entirely bc i check the website i have bookmarked often ill watch videos for it. but im pretty sad that many of the ppl i know gave up on it bc of fandom reasons. it is so much more than that

I’m into this fandom and have ocs and just bought the second edition Wally plush I learned about the fandom on vacation last year when KZbin recommended me a video ever sense then I got into it but when people ask for other fandoms I like when they hear welcome home they say I’m a gross Wally simp 😭 like no I think Wally is silly little guy but I like it because my autism finds the colors and cool story awesome but I hate when people scream in my face about why I shouldn’t be In the fandom

I got into Welcome Home very recently, so I managed to completely miss all of the "controversies" that made everyone hate the fandom. The best part about getting into the fandom late is that I can enjoy Welcome Home on its own without all of the hype. I can say that Welcome Home is genuinely one of the best and immersive horror ARGs I have ever seen next to Mystery Flesh Pit and you can tell just how much love Clown puts into these characters. Also, I was a child that lived through MLP:FIM, and I can personally attest from experience that Bronies were far more toxic and damaging to me than Welcome Home or even TADC.
