Funny thing with the glove box, it seems to only be a UK problem. With the standard models with the steering wheel on the left side, the glove box is absolutely massive. Apparently has something to do with the fuse box being on the left side and blocking the glove box in the UK version.

Thanks for this review! I saw another reviewer complain about the automatic gear shifting being a bit uneven and annoying driving in town as the motor turned off and it was slow at starting again. Was that somethign you encountered?

Thanks 😊 It’s not something we noticed on our test so much. Although we must admit the stop/start system wasn’t as active as it might have been on a warmer day, when less systems were running!

Just had mine Monday lad 74 plate extremely surprised, I have been putting it through it's test and love when I put it into sports mode how everything changes fair enough, I just came in from a night drive to get used to things in the dark and see how she handles, at the dealership Monday though they had all the new top range vehicles like the 408 Gt fully stacked looked like the bat mobile to be honest stunning , My only complaint are the new wheels on the 2008 gt I would of preferred last seasons instead of the 🕷️ man symbol ones, Anyways thanks for your review and actually taking time to chat to us appreciated.

Love the little steering wheel. Its not a problem is you can adjust little, the benefits are plenty. And more fun.

Hi great video! If you end up purchasing the parking assist package in the UK does it take part control to parking? If so is it just for parallel or also bay parking ? Cheers

Thanks, Ricky 😁 You're correct, the 2008's Park Assist tech can help you enter and exit parking spaces. The system can take control of the steering, and just leave you to operate the accelerator and brake pedal. And yep, it can do both bay and parallel parking. We're aiming to test the best Park Assist cars out there in a future video, so don't forget to subscribe for that 🙌

@cinch ah that's great thanks it's because it does not give you much detail on the puegeot website. it just says you get front/back camera and blindspot assist when you add the parking package on the website. So that is great to hear thankyou i will subscribe and keep an eye out!

We actually asked Peugeot if we can put the dog in the boot. 43kg golden retriever and he was nice and snug in there. So that size or smaller your good 😁😁 lovely car so we ordered one. Waiting time isn’t too bad they said July so we’re all happy. Selenium grey, GT version. Really looking forward to collection day 😁

It's a feature that applies and holds the brakes for you when you come to a complete stop. Saves you from having to hold the brakes to stop the car from creeping.

Before I even watch this video, our 2008 was absalutley shocking, family in heating on, charging phone lights on travelling, 80miles per full charge, couldn't wait to get rid of it, 6 months of range anxiety hell, trios to the lakes and Scotland were a nightmare, anyone who says electric cars are the future and bugs them up are full of shit and in denial, now we've got the 508sw 2lt diesel, 600miles from a tank of diesel, and don't even get me started on the depreciation on the 2008 when trading it in, 🤬🤬🤬

It seems that the electric 2008 maybe wasn't suited to your needs and Peugeot have acknowledged that this is often the case so they still offer the petrol variant which we have also reviewed in this video. 508 SW diesel is a pretty good choice for long distance family journeys. A favourite of ours 👌
