as someone that works with circuit boards, wear esd gloves or something to help prevent esd on your ecu board and your moates board. It's very easy to fry small components even with a discharge so small you won't feel it.

The software is called binary editor and you'll want to get the dongle kit. I didn't go with the dongle kit and went with the software license locked to my laptop then my son decided to forget how to pour a glass of water and fried my laptop so guess what I had to repurchase the entire license all over again but the second time I chose the dongle thus my license can be used on any computer.

I’ve never dealt with a chipped mustang I thought about going that route before I purchased the megasquirt but the guy who was tuning it complained about chips. But really the megasquirt was a nightmare and I ended up going Holley efi I won’t look back. Love the Holley system, but with that being said everyone should check with there tuner before making any kinda decision to see what they can tune comfortably. Now I tune my own car. Love this channel keep up the good content

Can't wait to see the tuning video. I came across this video researching this for my project truck. I have a 86 F150 that I built a 500hp 351w for and im doing MAS air conversion with an A9L computer. I didn't know about these until a few days ago. Im really considering one of these but no one around me will mess with a factory computer they want to install a stand-alone so hopefully I can tune it myself or find someone that will.

I just recently put my bama chip on tune 0 that is stock. Runs a lot better. Bama is junk.. can’t wait to see your gains with your new chip seems legit.. are we going to see a rumble in the jungle with the retro fox and calypso.... that would be a good match.. with the calypso being 347 might have some more pop. I still like watching the old video of Andrew in the old GT racing you in the calypso. In “Mexico” 🤙🏻

A battery? Why is there a battery? What happens when the battery dies?

Battery saves the tune in the chip they last about 5 to 6 years once the battery dies you'll need to replace it with a new battery then reload your tune to the chip. Technically the quarterhorse chip is supposed to be only used to get your tune dialed in get the data logs adjust data log adjust data log adjust until your tune is perfect then you order a jaybird chip and the USB chip burner and can burn the jaybird chip with your perfect tune and then remove the quarterhorse horse chip and install the jaybird chip and you'll never have to touch it again as the jaybird chips memory doesn't require a battery to stay alive. But most people just use the quarterhorse and keep it installed and run our tune off it and will just have to replace the battery every 5 to 6 years.

You simply replace the battery or we have burner chips that are solid state with no battery once you have your final tune 👍🏻

Your computer is missing the plastic holding cage and also the insulation. Remember to include that those steps need to be done also.

I just bought egr eliminator delete cap goes on the egr plug at the valve. Would this eliminate the wire you installed for the egr?

You would have to follow it all the way through both harness back to the ECU and depin it to “eliminate” this wire. The only way to truly turn it off though is in the tune.
