I love your videos with the XL. Most probably it's because I more understand what you are doing. Love the sound that you get too. Your X videos are great too but I prefer the XL ones. Keep them coming

@@dubsbangermusic i love the workflow, the sound and the feel of the pads, but mainly for the sequencer, time/pitch functionalities and the possibility for the 8 outs + it's relatively easy to maintain and get spare parts. tnx for replying !

Hey Dubs, is that an Ortofon Gold mk1? If so do you notice it wears your records down quickly? Trying to decide which cart to buy and I read elliptical has better sound but wears your records more. How important is good sound when you want a dusty old school sound anyway!? 🤔
@dubsbangermusic Жыл бұрын
yessir the gold but its form 2014... i think sound reproduction is very important... with the ortofon youre going to get low lows and hi his which is going to be a big difference in your samples and your drum breaks, especially when youre sampling... i dont really play records to listen to the music too often but ask yourself are you going to be playing your records over and over to the point where youre wearing out the record? imo i dont think so... were already sampling stuff thats 30-40 years old of constant playing and we need to extract the best quality. either way stick with ortofon and youll get excellent sound quality.

@@dubsbangermusic Thanks man, that’s really helpful. I guess I was thinking about winding the record back to find the right part to sample as being the thing that would cause the most wear. But your point about the low lows and high highs is something didn’t think about and helped me make up my mind. Going for the Ortofon Club, which supposedly has good sound (better than the ‘Mix’ which I was contemplating) but also is ‘special elliptical’ and doesn’t wear too much when winding back ✌🏻

So your listening for those bass notes on every sample you use or just for this particular beat?
@dubsbangermusic Жыл бұрын
it caught my ear on this sample as it was so quick, i just wanted to make a note to always pay attention to your sample sources as sounds can pass you by so fast...
