So they make these 45 gallon grain bin or feed bins, that are conical at the bottom they come with steel stands. You can plumb them the same as you see in your video. There the same price shipped as your containers. The other plus of these is there's no dead zone at the one inch mark where salt can sit at the bottom and not get mixed. I've used these for mixing nutrients for gardens and tea's as well. Plus there food grade plastic.

Hi there. This was amazing help. I ended up purchasing the automatic hose reel. Did you change out the hose? Mine is a different colour than your clear hose. And being that it is 5/8 hose, what did you use to connect the hose to your piping? Both ends (of the hose reel) come with typical connectors that looks like metal. And of course they should be plastic for our use. Thanks in advance and great videos - they’ve helped tremendously.

The effort that went into this production could have been much more satisfying to viewers if you made it when you actually do a water change etc. Yeah you can stand around and point to stuff and say what would happen if this valve was opened or closed but that's just not very engaging

I’m new to Reefing, so my questions might sound kinda dumb. Your Sicce pump is used to pump RO/DI water from the freshwater tank to the saltwater tank. The same pump is used to circulate the saltwater. You use the hose reel for water changes. Do you also use it for fresh water top off? Since the pump and hose are kind of contaminated with salt does it matter during water top off?

Why don't you run two Parasitic pumps OR A DOS for your Automatic water changes instead of carrying gallon buckets to your tank? See I have a Apex DOS connected to my saltwater mixing station and my 10 gallon Synergy ATO Container that sits under my tank... My DOS does everything for me without carrying a single bucket which fills up my 10 gallon ATO container which has 2 float switches on it - a High and a low so it knows when to stop filling up the ATO Container and knows when you fill it!! Then you never have to worry about salt creep.

when you go to the next level add solenoids to the valves and automate the entire process. When you blow a couple grand on an ro saltwater mixing setup who cares about another few hundred dollars. I keep my hopper loaded with salt and thats it. I hit the button on my phone while I am taking a dump and it fills, adds salt, mixes and sends it to the tank without me ever touching it.. You have to skip that hose and run plumbing to the tank man. do it right or dont do it at all. You should have added unions for the pump so you can take it out after the salt eventually destroys it without much hassle . everything in this hobby must be installed with the foresight to make it easy to fix or clean because its breaking and that's that.
