Sce 200 is similar to Ukraine's rd 810 which itself is a derivative of rd 120 which is a russian upper stage engine powered by LOX/RP1 India had bought blueprints for rd 810 And is building based on it with better performance

Vikas engine is not cryogenic engine. We have designed and flown 2 different cryogenic engines and is called CE 7.5 and CE 20.

Work is going on Indigenous semi Cryogenic engine SCE-200 with Ukraine. But it will be available by 2021-22. I think ISRO doesn't want to wait till 2022 or more, and till than use Russian engines for sending heavy payloads. But it will increase price of the rocket launch, but will be less than Ariane 5 rocket.

Mr.ajay Ukraine was contracted to test the components of the cryogenic engine and as you said that it was a transfer of tech,actually a design of a few components were transfer not an entire engine or else it wouldn't have been termed indigenous.

I guess May be your nation doesn't have a successful space agency . *"Project Jasmine" was about the Semi cryogenic engine(KerLOX) not cryogenic (LH2&LOX )ISRO had Russian KVD engines back in 90's *It's (SCE 200) based on RD 810 Not RD 180 *You don't test 'Rocket engines' in "wind tunnels "(other than air breathing engines, which are of course not technically 'rocket engines') . We test them in HATF -High altitude test facilities. ISRO have them .

One point has to noted that Russia will train 4 Indian vyomanauts instead of 6. There is always a backup group in case of any problem. I think ISRO has stick to the plan of sending 2 vyomanauts only. There was news that ISRO is experiencing problems related to space capsule.

Eager to see real simulation footages from ISRO. Been looking for actual orbital parameters for chadrayaan 2, nowhere to be found. People who wish to educate the next generation about our missions get hardly anything than a few pictures to work with, without going through the whole rung of bureaucracy. I hope we get better press releases. BTW that kerbal space program footage is unmissable.
