i have 500+ hours on sword, of wich 200+ on practice range. since last patch i just quit the finals entirely. i could understand emote cancelling but not gadget swapping. ever heard of animation cancelling on for example riven of league of legends? that's pure mechanical prowess and skill. i think they should have left the sword at least with GS. that's a pity.

Oscar and the devs were getting absolutely cooked by swords they had to do it. Streamers like Ottr started to get annoyed with swords too, he basically lead the charge in nerfing it towards the end of season 2. He even called for GS patch after emote cancel patch which is nasty work. Still a great weapon, it’s just slow.

I have over 400 hours with the sword, of which over 100 hours were in training mode, and I completely understand removing the emote bug, as it was an exploit. But removing the gadget swap with this delay was like taking away the possibility of using "quick scope" in other games. This is an animation cancellation like in any game, based on training, skill and DPS, it was something unique to the sword, I dedicated myself to mastering the sword and gadget timing, without any bugs, so I feel my time wasted. I bought the s3 pass and I'm still going to stop playing, I loved the sword in the finals.

i can phantom strike consistently in situations but yeah there gonna prob patch that Sidenote:If you wanna get use to sword again after being a swordmain like me i would play quick cash becuase it helped me adapt the quickest.

Getting rid of swapping increases skill ceiling. It was easier to use once you learned the technique now the technique is harder to learn and more thought needs to go into how the sword is used.

Id like to know how to play against lights that are using dash cause its really hard to hit them, and if you have a clear path to hit them in the time that you charge lunge they just beam you, also even when i hit lunge i miss quick melee Thats what I personally struggle with

Does bhopping not give the same effects as slide canceling? That one clip you said you can’t do anymore I do a lot but I either bhop or slide out of the sword dash. I’m super aggressive and also play dagger. Really miss how it was pre 2.6
