Hi DH, I'm glad that I finally found a song from In Extremo that you like and can enjoy. And mostly your smile and laughter during a reaction is more worthy than a very high rating ;) I really love this song because I think the feeling "to be free" (Frei zu sein) brings this song so well across.

Man I was there. We started a circle pit, that was hella fun. In Extremo is at Wacken very often and it's always just fun. Edit: Also, just in case you read this and have freetime (no video necessary lol): Schandmaul is another German Band that did a fantastic show at Wacken 2019 I think. Same folk-metal direction.

what i like about In Extremo is, they are singing (they..... bc it is not just the singer) in old latin, in old germany, in old gäelish, combinig those intruments is great

This band is so good, so unique! I love their old stuff but my favorite album of theirs is Sterneneisen. You should listen to Siehst du das Licht.

It is curious why the members of the Tanzwut band, a collective that is the brightest representative of German folk metal, did not rattle on the channel. Maybe their songs are in the queue, but if they are not there, it's strange.

The song is SIMPLE and that's the point ... it is to be FELT both in the body (drums/percussion and pipes) and the mind ("freedom" is probably something that people visiting such rock concerts value highly).

Good to see they found a new piper after they ejected a former one because he was getting crazy (died later at a anti corona protest after confronting police... don't know the exact cicumstances). I like the original video based on "One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest" it fits the song quite well.
