@eraser979 you are correct. anders mic went out 3:09 . In Flames uses some pre-recorded vocal clips for the huge festival shows. very obvious on this video version, though it sounds great live.

if you listen to the chorus you hear voices in the background....in flames also stated that they use backtracks to make their songs sound a bit nicer live since they have no keyboardist.

@FerreBoy harmonics, often blending soft with hard singing + growling where one of the things which kinda gave in flames their key vocal sound after RTR, they use prerec. backup vocals quite often. probably coz noone else in the band can actually sing the backup vocals so anders would probably be unsatisfied with the sound lul.

The crowd was, for the most part, watching the concert- very few people were jumping up and down and head-banging and singing along. You watch other performances, people are much more involved.

That is a backing track. There's a reason why it's called a BACKING track, as in, it is none-live recordings to back the actual live performance to give it a fuller sound. He's using it to layer his vocals and make it sound fuller live. That doesn't mean he's not singing live. There's nothing wrong with using backing tracks if you're using them to fill the missing parts in the song as long as you're also actually performing your role/part. Lip syncing, or fake playing, is another story completely, where nothing you do is actually in the mix and you're just pretending to do something but a recording is actually being played instead.
