My introduction to In Flames was Cloud Connected when I was in high school in 2004...the same year Soundtrack to Your Escape came out and I was absolutely floored. When Come Clarity came out...I bought the special edition album with a DVD of them performing the entire album. Anders has a way of writing really emotional lyrics and sings them with passion. Such great memories growing up with this band in my CD player all of the time.

In Flames 1996-2006 was a sight man. From defining Melodeath albums like Whoracle and Colony to the experimental -core-influenced sound of Reroute and Come Clarity, to the surprisingly good industrial-inspired feel of Soundtrack to Your Escape. After Jesper left, this band went into generic radio rock sounds. I'd say their top 3 albums were Clayman, Come Clarity, and Whoracle.
