@@lllucasm For old school style albums from The Jester Race to Clayman are all good, while Clayman you could feel they were in transition, and in the next Reroute to Remain they basically made it that their sound become more like alt/nu metal, which is still good for me but definitely no the same as old style anymore

Yes Nik, that IS Chris Broderick! He's been with them for a few years now, I thought it was just for live shows but he's actually been involved in the new album too (he said in his interview with Ola that he was involved in the writing, and you can see him in this vid and State of Slow Decay's) so I guess he's entirely into the band now. Good addition in my opinion haha. I love these singles, really hyped to hear the rest of the album.

This was DEFINITELY every era put together. It feels so awkward for me because all of my favorite In Flames songs came from playground and Siren Charms but my favorite albums as a whole by far were the earlier 2000s and this was everything that made my favorite bits from everything going all the way back to the beginning. This was INSANE!!

While I do miss Jesper's signature brand of riffs and solos, this song is still a true comeback for them and I love it. Also Anders vocals sound so good. I have always liked his screams but to hear him be able to pull lows like that. Now that is cool.

Yes, that is Chris Broderick on Guitar!! It also looks like Alex Rudinger on Drums, but he and Tanner Wayne look similar so it's hard to tell with the quick cuts that focused on the Drums (and Tanner is still listed as the current Drummer on MA for the current lineup). Definitely their best song in a while, got to give the new album "Foregone" a listen when it drops on Feb. 10th.

This is definitely closer to come clarity in flames than it is clay man in flames. Having said that everything I’ve heard from the new album has been fantastic regardless of the era they’re trying to tap back into. It got weird over the last few albums but they’ve gotten back into a more aggressive style. Anders is best when he isn’t “singing” and there has been a lot of that on the songs released so far. I don’t think we will ever get another “colony” or “clay man” from them but I’m still going to blast this album from front to back for 6 straight months straight when it releases. In Flames We Trust!

Discovered In Flames in mid 2010s. Around the time when they released Siren Charms. First song I heard was Through Oblivion and I knew right at that time I needed more. Not really a big fan of A Sense of Purpose, though it has a couple good songs, but their early-mid 2000s and basically Sound of a Playground Fading and everything after it are my favorite eras of In Flames.

Tinfoil Hat Time: In Flames went more commercial to give Anders time to heal his voice and pay for their restaurant. Now that all that has happened, The Swedening can begin again with them, Halo Effect, and At The Gates. On a serious note, this is the same melodic, catchy, and perfectly pieced together types of songs that made Trigger, Cloud Connected, Bullet Ride, My Sweet Shadow, and Clayman songs that still hold up today more than almost any other melodeath song since.

I'm one of those who didn't "hate" their newer stuff, but didn't really love it either. (except those Claymen re-recordings were kinda bad) These new songs take me 20 years back in time when I first time found this band. Björn Gelotte and Chris Broderick are a hell of a guitar duo.
