Yes! He doesn’t want to hear about that! Life is full of choices and nobody can have a yes stamp for every desire they think about- transgender people should never be allowed in a women’s restroom or other private space, and should not be allowed to compete against biological women in sports. So, if they want to play in sports, they need to compete in their biological gender and they need to use their biological restrooms. Businesses can design their buildings to offer trans restrooms and trans sports if they’d like- but biological women deserve to live their lives to the fullest too- he wanted nothing to do with that!

When it came to LGB questions he answered them. When he got to the T questions he never gave a proper answer. The closest he came to answering was to say he wanted everyone to be happy. Beth Rigby was well prepared. It might have been worth asking : 1) why Trans, which is so loose and poorly defined, became Stonewall’s primary focus; 2) whether they have now abandoned the “no debate” tactic as laid out in the infamous Denton’s document (they clearly have resisted any meeting with LGB Alliance); 3) whether safeguarding of children & women is an issue that Stonewall thinks has a high priority and how they reconcile the conflict regarding male bodied individuals accessing their spaces.

I would refute the 4% of women not being supportive of the ‘trans’ lobby that he quoted from last year. It is MUCH higher. Many people over 40 yrs old don’t understand that a ‘trans woman’ is a male body and not a women who is ‘transgender’. So I would like to see how these questions were asked and to whom. The under 25’s are now captured by their educators and peer groups so I would trust their opinions of this matter at all.

The findings of the study was not reported in their entirety. Ian was correct in the sense that most people support T rights but what wasn't clarified was that when people were asked if they'd support intact males accessing females only spaces well surprise, surprise the public was overwhelming against this. Studies also show for example, the public is overwhelmingly against gender reform in Scotland.

Anderson answered very pertinent questions about women’s safe spaces and women’s sports with infantile platitudes about how he wants everyone to live their best life and love who they want to love - Hippy happy speak is not enough - who doesn’t want everyone to be happy, loved and living their best life!! But in the real world there are critical and pressing issues that need appropriate legislation and policies that are fair and practical and safe - There was not one word about how to achieve any of it and that makes him a waste of space in my book
