Indeed so, or they may already have done so. Tory members faced a very difficult choice; whether to select a candidate with an almost zero chance of leading them to victory at the next general election, or one with an absolute zero chance. It seems they have chosen the latter.

Tories are finished. I like Kemi but she's been elected to try and stay closer to the left...the same left that will never vote for them. They just won't learn and I doubt they'll ever recover from this and the mistakes they've made

The Tories were also announced as finished in 1906 1945 and 1997 … they are still here and will be here long after we are gone …

@anglocon it's more important now though when things like tradition & heritage & patriotism are considered darty words by so many here in this day and age. They no longer 'conserve', and in a modern world of rompant globalistic liberalism, I doubt they'll ever be the force they once were. Especially after this decision

This spells the beginning of the end of Conservative party.A divisive vote.Give it time and they will be at each others throats.I believe the right person won but there are large swathes of this party who will not be able to accept this decision.

It does matter. It’s the reason why I will not vote conservatives until they elect someone else and the reason why I didn’t vote for Sunak. And there’s nothing wrong with that. They need to learn who are their voters and what concerns they have.

Absolutely fantastic news! From the summary of delusion given by the 1922 chair (Rishi's petulant budget response just proved how unfit to lead he was) demonstrating that they've learned precisely nothing, to Kemi winning. It means we can look forward to the tories in electoral purgatory for a long time 🎉 I give her 2 years at most, littered with repeated drubbings at PMQs that her ego won't be able to handle 😂🎉

@@mariannewarner9252 I would strongly advise against voting for the Liberal "Democrats".
