In full: Post Office scandal | Fujitsu developers give evidence at inquiry

Fujitsu staff feared being “hauled over the coals” after realising the Post Office was using “manipulated” audit data to criminally investigate sub-postmasters, the Horizon IT inquiry heard.
John Simpkins, a team leader within the Japanese firm’s software support centre (SSC), confirmed that data on recorded transactions made in branches was passed on to the Post Office in a “filtered format” of what Fujitsu had.
Current and former employees from the multi-billion pound firm are giving evidence to the inquiry into the scandal, in which more than 900 sub-postmasters were wrongly prosecuted because of glitches in the company’s Horizon computer software.

This enquiry is asking questions of people who managed this company. From what I have seen no wonder the PO is in the 💩. Never seen such a load of incompetence and have such memory loss , I’m surprised that the PO is still running. What a crock of 💩…heads should roll.

“I don’t recall” is how criminal gangs try to skate away from their crimes…it’s not an answer to the facts being demonstrated and there is no escaping any records that can be combed over independently.

The man doing the interviewing did a superb job!! He has researched in advance well and knew exactly which points of evidence to turn to, to make his points and steer certain questions. This was like a game of chess!! It’s very sad to see how corrupt the PO and Fujitsu were. Everyone can sympathise with resource constraints but no-one should be able to empathise with using that as an excuse to allow illegal prosecutions to proceed knowing what they knew with faulty Horizon system. One HUGE cover up. What’s scarier is it’s taken 20 years for this to come out the wood works. I pray those responsible are prosecuted and the innocent are acquitted .

I think the last email points to how they were all protecting their jobs and Fujitsu without any concerns for the Post Officers that were being prosecuted! Absolutely corrupt and Fujitsu should pay all the compensation for their lies and contempt!!

Fujitsu.... knowingly rolling out bug ridden financial accounting software on a nationwide basis???. Post Office management and IT staff not capable of thorough testing prior to roll out... ... oh dear....all sounds a bit like amateur night on a massive scale.
