The most salient feature of 1k mmr is that players are not only ignorant of the game but aggressively proud of it. Last night I queued as offlane visage and my support last picked underlord. He said that since visage offlane was good in high mmr it must be bad in low mmr because "completely different game". I always find it amusing when I see people say "meta doesn't matter in low mmr" and when I look at their item build at the end of the game it's all straight meta items. If meta does matter at 1k then why does every PA I see in my ges have battle fury?

There is a difference between meta and low mmr items. BF on PA is not meta items, it's like only item on PA and low mmr people will build it regardless of meta. On other hand , if mars is rushing pipe then it is meta item but heralds will build deso on mars.

When you point out it's meta and that it's what's going on in high mmr games they will respond with "well, you're not high mmr". Seriously. The single most salient feature of low mmr games is not that the players are ignorant of the game but that they know they are ignorant and proud of it. The logic is that what works in high mmr doesn't work in low mmr. So, since high mmr players win by understanding the game low mmr players win by *not* understanding the game. Understanding how to play the game is seen as being bad in low mmr "because it's a completely different game". I've seriously had heralds tell me that Topson would lose in herald because he doesn't understand the herald game.

I'm actually Guardian 2 having gained 700 mmr in one month just by switching from hard support to offlane. I got tired of trying to support an underlord starting with 6 clarities and just sitting in the trees spamming firestorm. The real secret of low mmr is that most players aren't even trying to win the game. I've had hundreds of players tell me that laning doesn't matter in low mmr. I once had a treant lose a lane to a kotl (this was after the kotl nerfs) and when I asked him why he started brown boots and had no regen he told me it was pointless to try and contest the lane since "cores in this rank can't last hit". It just never occurred to him that having a useless support sitting in the trees while being harassed by two enemy heroes makes last hitting a bit difficult.

Plenty of low MMR players have good or even great mechanics. If you're herald, focusing on tread switching instead of map awareness or itemisation will still improve you, but really not by much. A Mars who's always in the right place at the right time with the right items but misses every spear is far more useful than one who lands every spear but is always out of position and rushes mkb every game.

about the camera angle, when u play with camera centered on your hero most of the time, the camera somehow keeps zooming in slightly. and when you spam the center hero button it goes farther away incrementally. especially obvious at highground, i always spam the fuck out of spacebar when im doing ancients

this thought crosses my mind at least 10 times a week and there is even a few times where i literally broke and just did everything to silently sabotage the game because i would rather the enemy team win than my team. there is some players in herald with the weirdest mindset like they would play certain characters and play them in the most defensive/passive way where they would literally ignore u if they see u fighting or struggling with a bunch of enemy heroes and they would only engage if they see the enemy is truly weak and there is opportunities for some easy kill after u literally spend minutes struggling to carry the lane and risking ur neck when going for a kill.....and they would choose specific characters when doing that.....u know the usual suspects zeus,sniper.. there was this NP that would literally ignore me or the lane and not help whatsoever and he would just teleport for no reason and other lanes to last hit enemies and rack up the kills and teleport back just in time when im about to kill someone and ks me..... its almost like they are just griefters or something..... ..there were some that would never engage the enemy first unless u engaged the enemy throughout the entire game.....even when the enemy is at the gates or in our jungles they would just hide at the periphery and hide and hide and let the enemy do whatever they want,even better when theres two or more of these cowards of the team...these very same mfers would mind rushing in to grab all ur creeps if the lane or coast is clear though... its like having these parasites that are super selfish and greedy for everything and all the resources and they consume and consume but literally have zero contribution to the game???wtf??
