There's something so sad and kind of pathetic when a fan of a band resents a band for experimenting and trying new things. Rehashing the same sound from the same album over and over again just to bring in reliable sales or appeal to their core demo must drive artists insane, and as an artist wanting to grow and push your creativity further is so necessary to remaining interested in the artform. Just because the fan(s) can't move on doesn't mean the band shouldn't.
