Yes! Same here! It was a trifecta of great shows. Flying Circus at 10:00pm, David Allen At Large at 10:30pm, and Doctor Who at 11:00pm. Drove my mother insane. I would be called "a naughty boy" certainly if she caught me up. All the Python fans at school would be red-eyed from staying up late on Mondays. A friend of mine did several "Silly Walk" steps as he passed in the halls and I broke down laughing.

Very much my experiences as well around that time. Used to stay up late on a Saturday night to watch Monty Python, and would get sad when they finally rolled the end credits, because that meant no more jokes AND I'd have to go to bed. Those handful of episodes where they still kept the show going for another three or hours minutes after the credits had rolled were always a secret joy. Cleese and Chapman may have been the leaders, Idle- his own silly beast, Gilliam- the talented artiste, but Palin and Jones were the heart and soul, the unadulterated genius of the finest and greatest comedy troupe in the entire history of the world. You guys were great, you twats, but gun to my head in a tough decision I would claim that Terry was the best Python. My Father showed me episodes of the sketch show and just fell madly in love at the tender age of 7 or 8 in the mid 1980's. I couldn't imagine my life being without the charm, intelligence, and unadulterated silliness of the Monty Python. Here's to good health boys....Much Love.

I’ve always believed Python’s secret weapon was its ferocious intellect, and Terry Jones personified it. A gentleman, a scholar and a ratbag. Rest In Peace you magnificent bastard.

Great man, comedian, historian, actor, director, intellectual...but above all, it’s one thing to make someone laugh but something else to make them smile. I smile every time I see his face. RIP Terry, thanks for the legacy you left for people throughout the rest of humanity to laugh, yes, but more importantly, smile.

I'm not crying, I'm laughing. Ok, maybe a LITTLE crying, but only because I'm laughing, mind you!
