In 1998 we lost many famous faces including Sonny Bono, Carl Wilson, Henny Youngman, Lloyd Bridges, Tammy Wynette, Linda McCartney, Phil Hartman, Roy Rogers, Robert Young, Gene Autry, and of course the "Chairman of the Board" Frank Sinatra, to name a few. May they all rest in peace.

I had turned 24 years old in 1982 when Newhart made its debut. Years later when collecting DVDs on this series the main reason I watched it was because of Mary Frann. I had a humongous crush on her. When I heard in Sept. Of 98 that she had passed away my heart sank. I have seen her on other T.V. shows as a guest star besides Newhart.

why are you putting James Earl Ray here? i mean he killed Dr King Jr, shouldn't it be more a piss on his grave kind of situation?

What bothered me was the flattering picture of James Earl Ray, and his description of Pol Pot as a “Revolutionary * rather than what he really was, a dictator. He did to his credit identified Democrat George Wallace as a segregationist as Biden was for many years. And now we have that clown in office.

@@frogger1952, he did get the part about the Colts being heavily favored right, so Ewbank famously led the underdog Jets to the upset win. I think maybe there was confusion because Ewbank was in fact the haed coach of the Baltimore Colts from 1954 to 1962, leading them to two NFL championships along the way long before there was a Super Bowl.

Week Eubank also was the head coach of the Baltimore Colts when they won consecutive NFL championships in 1958 and 1959 in addition to leading the 1968 New York Jets to the AFL championship over the Oakland Raiders and then beating the heavily favored NFL champion Baltimore Colts in Superr Bowl 3. OMG, I remember watching Bobo Brazil wrestle when I was a little girl, when I was 8 my grandparents started taking me to the matches, I still watch wrestling. Sea Hunt was my grandpa's show, years ago I had read an article that said the family of Martin Luther King Jr didn't believe it was James Earl Ray that killed him. I loved watching Junk Yard Dog wrestle; he was very entertaining. My grandparents used to take my 3 younger brothers and I to Roy Rogers's Museum in Apple valley Calif, we go there either on our way to Calico Ghost Town or on way back. Archie Moore had a beautiful home in San Diego, California, his pool was in the shape of a boxing glove.

Rip Phil Hartman I remember when he died in 1998 and just months before in December of 1997 when Chris Farley died at 33. JT Walsh’s death was sad to as he was height of his career having been in several big hits including Good Morning Vietnam with the late Robin Williams, A Few Good Men with Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise and as the main villain in one of his last films Breakdown with Kurt Russell.
