Thank you to everyone for your comments! The outpouring of love amongst remembrance is humbling. While I know I left out a TON of names even among the 72 that I included, please feel free to remember them (respectfully) in the comments. It would take a lifetime to tell the stories shown even in passing through this montage. And, of course, Happy Holidays to each and every one of you. ❤

THIS is the way the Oscars and others should present their tributes. Music in the background, never the image of the musician on stage interrupting the images of those being honored. No odd camera angles for the portraits. Each honoree clearly identified in an easy-to-read graphic. Thank you.
@CocoChanel-gf6yy10 ай бұрын
Yes, TCM always seems to do odd camera angles or inserts something totally unrelated to the person being honored. I also dislike the Oscar ones with the singer onstage - the focus should always been on the person being honored.

I've never been into celebrity worship but I enjoy a good performance and admire talent. Now, at 74 these artists, who have been in my consciousness since my youth, many of whom have enriched my life with their talent and art. To me, this memoriam represents, in part, a memoriam for my youth and that makes their passing seem a personal loss.

This is MUCH better than the tributes that TCM does. For some reason they insert pointless graphics and scenery shots and put the clips/photos of the actors in weird camera angles. Yours is how it should be done. A simple clip or a photo of the person and the film they're connected to. Great job :)

Whoever decides the length of time each person gets, and what clips to use REALLY sucks at their job. So the actors who passed, ya don’t hear any dialogue for, but if ur a writer or producer, they’ll play dialogue from actors on one of the movies you worked on? 🤔 Yea, that makes no sense whatsoever. That’s just 1 of the 97 things that are inconsiderate about this clip. This is their last hoorah, so to speak. And to do it willy nilly, with just a sad song in the background is disrespectful in my opinion.

@@Lizzie-tudio Wow, great argument. Let’s see if I can argue back with the same convincing argument style you had. Ok, here goes. “Hey Dorothy, it very much IS disrespectful.” Wow, what a genius way to argue. All you have to do, is inform the other person they are wrong, and give no reasons why. You’ve discovered a while new way to argue Dorothy! Just tell someone they are wrong, and move on.
