If I'm not mistaken, Billy Shaw of the Buffalo Bills (1961-69) is the only Pro Football Hall of Famer to have played his entire career in the American Football League. Qùite an accomplishment when you consider that great guards from the 1960s were often criminally overlooked (i.e. Jerry Kramer, Gene Hickerson) AND the AFL was looked down upon as an inferior league to its NFL counterpart.
