"In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" is a jazz-influenced instrumental composed by Dicky Betts that became one of the best-known works ever recorded by The Allman Brothers Band, especially the version on their 1971 live album At Fillmore East.

Many say Rambling Man. To me, this song has always been Dickey’s masterpiece. His defining song as a member of the Allman Brothers Band and his lasting gift to us his fans. RIP brother. Thank you Dickey 🎸✌️

It just shows you that great music doesn't need lyrics. These 6 incredibly talented musicians translate the sound from their heads to their hands and not a word is spoken. This is the finest piece of music I've ever heard in my life!

One of the. VERY best rock bands of all time, in my view. Funky AF. It's almost jazz. And Greg is seriously kicking ass.

I was watching this, stepped away from my phone and I knew instantly when Dickey began his solo. RIP Mr. Betts.

Definitely the best of all the southern rock bands. Could almost be considered southern prog rock.

Nothing like driving down an ole Tennessee back roads in the late 70’s early 80’s burning one and jamming to this at 2am in the morning, today’s generation will never understand how much great music we had from the whole British Invasion and the Great Southern Rock

Best band of all time. This lineup can’t be beat. I’m listening to this song and album for 50 years and it’s as good now as it was then

Who needs lyrics when Duane and Dickie make their guitars sing.
