'"It was all too stupid for him"--I think that really sums it up quite well. RIP Sid Vicious

@GriefTourist One of Sid's friends. In the early '80s I lived for several years in Stoke Newington, where Sid Vicious grew up. This person (I'd rather not mention his name, if you don't mind) had a great collection of '50s Rock'n'Roll records. When he found out that I was a Sex Pistols fan, as I was putting on cassettes several of his Eddie Cochran albums, he told me that he was the one who introduced Sid to Cochran, that they attended the same school, etc.. we became good friends, to this day

Great upload, very good. One of the people interviewed is a good friend of mine actually. Thanks for posting this

Thanks for uploading the radio broadcast. I've always been fascinated by the punk era of music.

At the start of Roberta’s call Sid asks if she’s a journalist and she says no Im a photographer. So why tf was she recording a very private call?!!!

That Jon savage fella does my head in. How does he know what happened to Nancy? Was he in that room when it happened ?

Sid was a tragedy but he was also "punk incarnate" and sounded like a funny guy.

I agree about Sid seeing everything how it really is, that is, stupid. He couldn't really bring himself to do much because of that, be it art or music. I feel much the same.

Thanks for sharing.. A topic that fascinates me.. An era I lived. There are many interviews.. In one it claims it was not his Mother who provided the lethal drug.. Even so.. Can we blame his Mother for the Death of Sid ?
