I hope to hear a pedal demo without the background. This is nice to hear how well it sits in a mix though.

My favorite song by Lari~ I bought the T-Drive so I can play along with this song. Although it's a simple pedal to use it is very difficult to get the clean to break up so nicely like in this video (yes this is obviously mixed) What I have learned is that this pedals distortion breaks up in a weird way and I think it's due to having higher output pick-ups on my Jackson guitar. After 3 days of noodling around with my H&K Grandmeister 40 amp, pedal and guitar volume (using neck and middle PUP) I have gotten somewhat close to this sound. I'd like to test out a tele with a lower output PUP on the neck to see if it makes a difference. There is one thing this pedal does exceptionally well, actually better than any distortion pedal I've ever used/tested and that is how very sensitive it is. Making it super dynamic adding colorful phrasing. If only the distortion didn't have this weird breakup sound it would be perfect.

Have you tried backing off your volume pot? Lari is constantly adjusting it to get the gain she wants.
@liquidSpin3 жыл бұрын
@@VertexEffectsInc Yup~ I mentioned it in my comment :) Yeah, I roll the volume down until the clean starts to break up. However, the lows are so pronounced that when certain notes ring together it doesn't sound to good so I've had to turn the resonance and bass down to 0. Bump the presence up 12'oclock and treble at around 7'oclock. From their I dial in the tone with my tone knob on my Jackson PC1 It's tricky to get the sound I want but honestly I think the reason is due to the pickups on my guitar but I will find out when my friend swings by with his telecaster :)
@liquidSpin3 жыл бұрын
@@VertexEffectsInc Im also using my neck and middle PUPs neck is the Jackson sustainer pick-up and a Dmarzio fast track middle pick-up. This helps reduce some of the highs since my neck pick-up can be a bit on the bright side.
@VertexEffectsInc3 жыл бұрын
@@liquidSpin You can try to lower your pickups as well, the height can be an EQ for the guitar.
@liquidSpin3 жыл бұрын
@@VertexEffectsInc I slightly lowered both pick-ups it but didn't help much unfortunately. My friend let me borrow his nice Fender Tele and his neck pick-up definitely sounds closer to Lari's tone but the distortion is only slightly different. After a few more tweaks experimenting with the gain levels and my volume knob I've found something pretty solid that I'm happy with. 🤘🏻🙂 Again, I have to express how incredibly sensitive this pedal~ It's the most dynamic pedal ever~ Thanks for helping me out. It's not everyday a company replies and or looks at comments on YT! I'm really impressed and I'm now a fan of Vertix pedals 🤘🏻

Classic looks but modern designs. Suhr fret design and the overall design of the guitar is meant for lower action and less fret buzz. Meaning that technical guitarists get to apply less pressure to each note, making it easier to glide on the fret board than other guitars like fender custom shop. USA Jacksons have a similar feel, but have more metal designs.
