On June 27, 2022, the International Religious Freedom Summit 2022 hosted a special event, “In Solidarity with the Persecuted,” moderated by Amjad Mahmood Khan, and featuring remarks by U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Criminal Justice, Dr. Beth Van Schaack, Dr. Katrina Lantos Swett, Naomi Kikoler (Simon-Skjodt Center for Prevention of Genocide) and Sam Brownback, with testimonials from Wai Wai Nu (speaking for Yazidis), Rushan Abbas (speaking for Rohingyas) and Pari Ibrahim (speaking for Uyghurs).
