Please do you have an Idea why the rod and main bearings wear so quickly on the N57d30a engine as well? I went trough 3 engines in 6 months for my 2012 F10. I finally sold my car at a considerable lose as the 3rd engine also died. Is the B57 any better?

@@abdbach379 sorry to be harsh but you should not buy a car unless you can afford it. I wonder still why people buy cars on loan and when something happens they just pay for something they don't have. Sorry to hear your story though!
@abdbach379
@abdbach379 2 жыл бұрын
@@yassinesoufy1988 Totally Agree with you. My actual piece of advice to people is never buy a car if you cannot afford double its price. Knowing this, I bought the car for about 16000 Euro, the first engine replacement cost me over 7000 Euro (5500Euro for the engine + new BMW oil pump 720 Euros, oil cooler 150 Euro, oil, filters, labor...). The second engine cost me around 5000 Euro (3500 Euro for a new 0km block, new oil cooler, oil, filter and labor). The third attempt was with another used block (gifted from the store for buying over 10000 Euro of BMW crap) the crankshaft was polished and new main and rod bearings from King were used. the last attempt cost about 2500 Euro. After all this drama it still failed. If It worked I would have kept the car. As you can see I could afford the car and even its costly maintenance but after spending ever the car's worth of money I couldn't try to repair it anymore. I mean it immediately failed after 3 replacements, you'd lose hope too.

This guy operates like a surgeon. That paper towel and gloves segment is impressive. It may look like nothing but it shows you a lot about the character of the person. What usually happens with people is: they may know what needs to be done, but eventually laziness takes over, which turns into sloppiness and cutting corners "lets reuse this paper, we can get away with not changing gloves". After several bearings are done. "You don't have to be so careful, let's just do it quicker". All of that manifests into an eventual mistake. I'm sure Sreten is as lazy as any other normal person, yet he still does not let it take over and drop standards, and that is the hard part. A person like that is exactly who you need for mission critical jobs which require high attention to details and adherence to correct procedures.

I love your perfection and attention to detail. Yes, and cleaning before removing, tying things up, covering openings, clean surfaces etc. You only have to work once with a shortcut mechanic to experience the frustration.

Your videos are very well done captivating, informative and humourous. I rebuild classic 6 cylinder motorcycles so it takes a good channel to keep me watching videos all the way through. You certainly are a glutton for punishment working on these modern BMW with the big bucks involved. Total respect to you and your channel.

You could work on my car any day of the week. Love the way you edit the video's showing a procedure once then the repeat procedures skipped through. Makes watching a pleasure. Your editing is as good as your workmanship.
