Are you flying from UK to Greece in the Ikarus? How many days it takes? The one I fly has a slightly better instrument panel and 2 x 70 liter fuel tanks so you can fly almost 1600 kilometers (950 miles), but Greece is much closer to me, just 8 hours of flight.

If i get my microlight license (NPPL M), will i be able to take my wife for a flight? Assuming I'll be hiring out from my flying club.

Once you have at least 25 hours of flight time with instructor and at least 10 hours of solo flight you'll be allowed to carry a passenger (called flying without operational limit). You can get the license after just 15+7 hours but you won't be able to carry a passenger and some other restrictions around how far you can fly from takeoff airport or if it's cloudy.

@Mircea Dogaru would have to pass a GST and get a license after 25/10 before being allowed to take a passenger that's not an Instructor or an examiner. That's the minimum hours for taking a test is it not?

you need a pilot's licence to fly this one -any aircraft with numbers on it requires licence real ultralight does not -BTW Ikarus' wings burned up on his flight towards the sun -also C42=3x(4+2)=666 have a safe flight and i mean it!

In Europe all ultralight aircrafts have tail numbers. And you need a licence to fly them. Mtow is 450kg plus rescue chute. It's more like the US LSA aircrafts than the part 103 ones.
