The ever present grin on her face was rather unnerving and drew my attention to it time and time again. When it was revealed to be a mask and the grin no longer present it made it much more impact full. This is a very good animatic and it's very impressive that you got it done so fast.

The mask was used to great effect. In some aspects it gives a demure doll like vibe "this should be safe", but in all other aspects it very much isn't. It's too strained, it's too perfectly carved, it's too flat. Only to pull it off and there was a face contortions behind it. *Chefs kiss* great work.

This is amazing! I love how expressive the character's body language is and how it's kind of re-contextualized when you see her actual facial expressions at the end. Like, the art itself is charismatic in a way. I especially adore the part where she kinda pounces at the camera then gets up. This is just fantastic and I'm amazed you did it in such a short amount of time.

As many others have already pointed out, the ever smiling mask is awesome. But what I find great is that the only colour in the video is of her magic/eyes. It adds a very nice touch

I've had this on loop since I found it like an hour ago, not only is the animatic a masterclass in visual storytelling, the way the character keeps breaking between the barely contained rage and distain and the prim and proper presentation of the moist powerful mage in all of Russia~ you can almost feel like she can't wait to let all that hatred and evil out to get her revenge, while still keeping the self image of a royal mage, always keeping her arms and body in a dignified position as se moves, only broken by the flashes of rage were her true fillings bubble to the surface. Anna did an amazing job with the song and your animatic translated the energy and venom of her voice and desire into this wonderful example of animation, every frame is a joy to behold, and I can just say finally, thank you for creating something so wonderfully evil and amazing to share with us.

I absolutely love the character design! I've been planning on a future character for a DND campaign who always wears a mask, and now I can't help but imagine her as this vengeful ghost (but much less sinister XD). Not an animator, but I can't imagine it to be easy to animate a character without facial expressions, but her body movements were so breathtaking to watch. Especially that scene of 1:12, kept rewinding that over and over just to rewatch it.

You know, the whole mask thing with the glowing green eyes is really, *really* fucking creepy. I love it! One thing that I wished could have been done more was the face after the mask was off. Like, as someone else said, it's incredibly jarring to see her not smiling under the mask and it's amazing! But I feel like it's missing something.. ..more sinister green, perhaps? Or maybe the magic formed a ghost mask over her face for a second or two? Other than that, amazing job! Loved it lots! I'm also really jealous of your art style? It looks so realistic yet just like the older animated movies - like the movie the song is from. Really well done!

I found this animatic the day after the animatic was released and I've probably rewatched it at least 30 times by now. This animatic is fantastic, the cover is amazing (I know you didn't make it but I just felt like saying so since this is y first time hearing it unless I'm forgetting something) and the original song is great, though of course the movie it comes from is pretty politically questionable.

It took me about 16.5 hours in total for the animatic itself, and i believe an extra 2-3 hours to edit and put together the youtube specific elements :]

ILL BE SO HONEST i debated it for whilee - originally she was gonna keep it on. I wasn't fully sure if I was going to make another animatic featuring this character though, so I wanted to take the opportunity while I had it to have fun with a reveal :) But I love mysterious characters - in her story she wore it for a loooooooooooooooong time before ever revealing her identity.
