Sir, what's the blooming season of pelargoniums. i mean which months do they start blooming and till what month. Also how are zonal pelargoniums different from geraniums in terms of blooming season and in terms of taking care of them? please explain

That’s a lot of questions. Zonals can realistically flower all year round but are usually cut back in the autumn in the UK so that they remain dormant. If the temperatures remain high enough, and in good light, such as indoors, they can flower all year. Generally they flower from May to October in the UK but many of mine are cut back to time them to bloom for exhibitions in June. It depends on what you mean by geraniums, if you mean zonal pelargoniums, which are often commercially marketed as geraniums, then they are the same thing. Hardy geraniums are a completely different group under the genus Geraniaceae and are hardy and grow completely differently to pelargoniums. Hope this helps. D

Mostly by pelargoniums i mean whose leaves are more like chinar shaped leaves with a little hard texture of leaves and by geraniums i mean whose leaves are round and little but softer.
