HI! I just bought the pattern and can not wait to make it. I am nervous about just putting the fabric on top of the stabilizer. Should I use some temporary adhesive or a little transport tape on the edges?

Thanks for your purchase! No need to adhere the fabric to the stabilizer. The embroidery is very light, so as long as your needle isn't dull it will stitch just fine. If there is any puckering on the face (from lightweight knits) it will plump when you stuff it. Have fun with your elves and let me know if you need anything!

Is there a trick to putting in a different face than in the pattern? I want to make my first elf into Wednesday Addams and she needs to be a little less happy.

@twistknit1 Some people use the elf head design but put their own face in there. I've just relisted 12 different head designs on ballyhoocreations.com in case you want to use any of those add-ons. But I am also wanting to make a Wednesday Adams doll so if you can wait about 2 weeks, I may have a more appropriate head you can use. (◔◡◔)
