I don't mind who learns the language though. 😀 If you're Maori and want to learn and use te reo, that's fine. It doesn't change that the MAIN language is English. There's no Maori parliament, just MP's. It's still the UK who the MP's swear allegiance to in the new parliament. We live under the King's parliament by law. 90 day trials only punish bad workers, the rest of the workforce wants someone that should be fired to be fired, the people that have to show up to a job to keep their benefit are largely useless. Winston raised a very good point, this is our government, the New Zealand government and by far the majority of people in this country speak English, everyone in that house speaks English and only use Maori language to try and be a smart ass. If they want to use Maori Language then it needs to also be in subtitles underneath so the majority of people can understand what is being asked or answered.
@honeheke11289 ай бұрын
Yes and no, 90 days gives more power to bussiness owners to get quick short term casual labour, job could be labelled long term, but really it isn't, being a good employee or not, unfortunately will still get let go, I'm also for employer having power, bad weeds are harder to weed out of the workforce.

Wrong 90 day trials affect everyone. That was proved multiple times last time big companies over 20 employees had that right sacking multiple people at knock off time on the 89th day. Winston has all the arguments but will his policy stack up? Who will benefit the most ? Certainly not Te Ao Maori.

No offence but what's the point in talking Māori?...majority of New Zealand who are watching can't understand it?

I agree am not happy or impressed with this type of rhetoric it wrecks of preference the pettiness and lack of knowledge from the opposition is disappointing at times their like lil school gals. Te iwi Maori can do so much better their being lead astray all the social media stuff just stirring the pot.
