Vivi, very interesting post. I have always been a morning person. There's no better way to spend time then to watch the world wake up in the morning with a steaming cup of coffee. Americans are heavy coffee drinkers. I've had to cut back on coffee as it causies my ears to have ringing so I've made up for it by drinking .... you guessed it, tea. Most people here in Nebraska drink iced tea but I'm not too thrilled about that beverage. My tea is hot with lemon. The Chinese version of green tea is my favorite. I'm not too particular about how it's made. I just put the water in the cup and microwave the water then put in the tea and lemon. Yeah, I know it breaks all the rules about English tea. I even use instant tea most of the time. Yes, I see you cringing. I too have a Nuti-bullet. I used to make smoothies for my grandson with fruit, yogurt, and fruit juice. It was a way to get him to eat fruit and yogurt. I probably should do that for myself. My breakfast is many times cooked oatmeal with yogurt and a banana mixed in. Supper for me is no later than 6 p.m. and better if it's about 4 or 5 p.m. My digestive tract doesn't like undigested food in the stomach when I lay me down to sleep. My day does not have a routine as each day is its own day so eating is usually at different times every day. At any given instance the phone can ring and I'm off to help with some project. I do like that kind of lifestyle were one moment I'm sipping a drink and the next I'm moving a table or something. Life is good. Thank so much for giving us a peek at your daily routine. May your day be filled with joy, laughter, and peaceful moments of positive reflection. Nebraska Dave

Oh my giddy goodness......even though I haven't drunk tea for years my poor little toes just curled up at your prep description!!! Hahahahaha. :-) I, too, like my more flexible day as it is now.........sometimes I don't feel like eating, other times I'm starving and can't stop........but there's no-one with a stop-watch hanging around me to tell me my 'lunch break' is over........love it! Happy scoffing whenever we feel like! :-)

Thank you for this video! I'm sure all your veggie and vegan viewers identify with being asked, "What do you eat? " I'd really love to see more cooking videos, more of your own recipes and ideas for simple meals using our own produce. Maybe you could do a video like this each month of the year, showing how you transition from all fresh summer ingredients into the winter months and utilizing your store of dried, frozen etc. 🌱🐝

This was a great video, Vivi. I'm grateful to whoever urged you to make it...gives a lot of good ideas. Have you thought of taking a food rasp and getting off that gorgeous rind from your lemons before you use them? So much easier to do when they are whole and then it is an extra product to get to use flavouring your meals. Thank you for all the trouble it took to make this video, I really appreciate it! edit: Yes, please do this again in the winter! And maybe also in Spring when your stores are beginning to get low, I'm certain your creativity shines then.

I know this is an old video but wanted to mention incase you were unaware, that it's important to soak the flax seeds to breakdown the coating so your body can absorb the nutrients. Hello Vivi, I laughed so much when I saw your totally sleepy face at the beginning of the video. I do not mean that offensive now, but everyone knew that you really are not the typical morning person. I, on the other hand, am the absolute early riser. I wake up every day, even at the weekend at 4 o'clock in the morning without an alarm clock. I open my eyes and am really fit. If it's not so hot, then I'll iron my clothes before work or knit for an hour. Every morning, there are homemade muesli made from oatmeal, grated apple, nuts, a little lemon juice, yoghurt and flaxseed. To work, I either take a salad with me or a wholegrain bread, which I bake myself. I found your smoothie delicious, especially if you can process your berries. I could have eaten your salads and soup too. At the moment, I cook only very little (38 degrees today). But I always cook a lot of different soups for the winter, which I then freeze. Especially my beloved pumpkin soup. Your video today was really exciting and entertaining. Incidentally, I find your plate with the little roses quite adorable. Please, when it's really cold outside, the winter version of "this video. I have just taken my salad in wise foresight, to watch your video. What I never do. Eat either or watch videos. Greetings and a big hug Claudia

Hi Vivi, I'm like you, not really a morning person. However after suffering a heart attack in may, If I'm upright and breathing that's a good start to the day for me. do you ever use almond or other non dairy milks like cashew, coconut, etc for smoothies? Your day's food looks pretty amazing to me and reasonable. I know how it is to go to water and need a little something before and then light something after without having to cook (and bringing home nice ingredients that have to wait until the next day ...or later. ) I too could love seeing more "what I ate" videos. Once a week like another youtuber that does "What I Ate Wednesday" or something? Or once a month? It's nice to see the combos for the day and reasons for the choices. You're a good role model. :)

Will you be saving the seeds from you Italian courgetti? I have to have my caffeine in the morning. It is my one "food" luxury. It is sometime hard to change eating habits. So my coffee is the one I have kept … for now. I use to drink 2 pots a day easy when I was working. So I justify have my caffeine by knowing I have cut that amount to 2 or 3 cups a day. Baby steps. Vivi, …. Save those squash SEEDs. You should research the 'Purslane' weed for Omega's. I believe its one of the most nutritious wild edibles but I'll let you do your own research but it may be a free source of Omegas and it actually tastes good. We have it everywhere in the States but it grows everywhere; sidewalks ,disturbed soil, in my garden beds... I throw it in salads, or on a sandwich. So question.... What's for pudding? Lol

Loved the video, I find it interesting the meals that others consume it gives me ideas. I was wondering how you manage your clothing? Do you have a clothing allowance as part of your financial arrangements? Since it has been quite a few months since you finished your work....and you always look so nice in all your tops. I wondered if you had a secret stash of clothes- mine are getting quite ratty and worn. What do you do about footwear etc?
@WhatVivididnext6 жыл бұрын
Hahaha - good question - no, I haven't got a clothing budget but......I tend to buy good quality stuff that lasts for years, I also look after my clothes and make repairs as soon as a problem appears......and I get most from charity shops so I get a bargain and they get a donation. Yay! Footwear is different.....I don't buy second hand.......I have some lovely shoes, again, most were expensive to start with (classic designs that don't age!) and are repairable when necessary.....but.....I also spend most of my time in trainers which are hard to repair so.....I buy in the sales......and I save my pennies (spare change from my food budget) and buy when I absolutely have to......which is quite soon! ;-)

Okay I'm off to the charity shops to see if I can find some tops. I agree with you on the shoes new is best and since I wear an orthotic not just any shoe will do. I heard my mother's voice when you said "repairs as soon as the problem appears" lol "a stitch in time saves nine" that is so true as well. I must pay more attention to the sales for trainers ---good idea thanks Vivi

Hello from the US. Very healthy eating. Do you ever eat take aways. Wish I had the willpower to eat like that. I always wind up eating something that’s not so healthy. ❤️
@WhatVivididnext6 жыл бұрын
I don't eat take-aways no, never have done (too expensive)...oh, except, occasionally if I'm at the seaside I LOVE a bag of chips with LOADS of salt and vinegar on them......ooooh, yum! ;-)

Great idea to show how you use your produce. After all, that's what its all about (apart from the sheer pleasure of gardening of course). Vivi, would you consider also loading your videos to Bitchute? I am limiting my use of KZbin due to its anti-free speech policies, and preferring to use more socially responsible sites. CHeers.

I haven't heard of that but I'll check it out. :-)

A beautiful good morning, dear Vivi! Are you still awake. For me so far was such a noise in front of my window (teenagers), that I could not sleep. For me it does not mean that I go to bed at 7 o'clock! Hahaha !!!!! Do we want to go for a walk? - That would be a good idea! I'll pick you up in 10 minutes. OK? I wish you a good night or better morning peace. Sleep well!!!! best regards Claudia

I slept like a baby for the first time in weeks.......just enough rain to freshen the air and drop the temp a bit..... ;-)
@claudiaebert78426 жыл бұрын
That has certainly done you good. Rain and thunderstorms have been reported for the last few days. None of that happened. At least 35 degrees every day and no rain for 10 weeks. Really bad. I'm glad for you, that you got at least rain. All the love and a big hug Claudia

Whole linseed is really cheap. You can grind it yourself in your nutribullet
@WhatVivididnext6 жыл бұрын
I thought about that but.....it's kind of bonkers......the pre-milled stuff I get from Lidl is actually cheaper than the non-milled at my health food shop. Daft huh. :-)

Have you ever thought of going vegan Vivi?
@WhatVivididnext6 жыл бұрын
Often. The only non vegan thing I consume is a small amount of cheese - I do struggle with the ethics but have never quite taken that final plunge. Perhaps it's something I could work on next year. :-)

What Vivi did next that's great, I would recommend plant based news on you tube apart from that I hope you would find many benefits from it. I haven't had a migraine since cutting out dairy and I feel much happier in myself. There are many benefits to be had. Good luck Vivi 💚
