You make this look so easy, wow! I am going to try my very first fondant cake this weekend so I am more confident in trying now that I have seen how it is done rather than just reading how. Thank you for the lesson!

Thanks to this video I tried fondant for the first time. Had no problem on my first try rolling out fondant on a 12" cake. Came out perfect!

Thank you - I made my first ever fondant covered cakes last week as Christmas gifts. Whilst they were not perfect - your video has helped me know what to do for teh next time.

I just made my sister's wedding cake with marshmallow fondant. I followed a recipe I found here on youtube and was able to cover the cake layers with it and also make ribbon roses to ring the bottom of each layer. It turned out gorgeous (if I do say so myself, haha) and it tasted great!

but can you mould mm fondant the same way as regular fondant? can you make 3D things like bows or roses with it? I would have thought it'd be too sticky, that's why I'm afraid to try it!

There sure is a lot of negativity here. Thank you Belinda for the damp towel tip. I'm an intermediate cake decorator but new to fondant. Everyone I've seen so far on YT just dabs all their pieces with their wet fingers. I really like the damp cloth approach because it keeps my fingers dry and ready to continue with the next piece of fondant.

You've got to be kidding? Do you use a "Chain Saw" to cut a cake the day after it is iced with Royal Icing?
