I never thought to Enemy Step with Blue Rose, it’s really fun! The timing feels really fast because I get separated from an enemy pretty quickly.

Nice, L1 is what I had gun mapped to in DMC4SE but I was rolling with the default layout in 5 because I like giving them the benefit of the doubt. Might try switching now, tbh. Changing the way the gun works to have charging it load up three shots rather than simply charge a single one made me think that perhaps a face button could work, but muscle memory says otherwise, lol.

I've always been the same, I always work with the default buttons out of giving the designers the benefit of the doubt. However, as Nero has many moves which require buttons to be held down, I quickly got to the stage where I physically couldn't input what was in my head.

what did you set for break away? was it just a swap to square?

I did that at first, but muscle-memory caused me to accidently press it, so I switched it over to [R2].
