I just watched a review of Ultrakill because of this comment, and the entire thing was like a description of The Wonderful 101. It's interesting that these mechanics are celebrated in one genre and glossed over in another.

I found out watching Transformers One I don’t know if this is meant to be in reference or not but when Orion first becomes Optimus and has his confrontation with Megatron, Optimus transforms mid-battle into his truck form, sweeping Megatron by his legs by drifting in a circle before ramming him in his chest. This could be a reference to Transformers Devastation with “Vehicle Attacks.”

thank you for the guide, i struggle to perform the combo with the directional input and just found out that you can use hard lock into the enemy so the direction would remain the same, i hardly use the hard lock on probably because i use mouse and keyboard and the lock on as well the dodge button are located far away and had to use pinky for pressing it

Wait I'm confused. At 0:24 did you gain super armor for that charged melee attack via EX Rev? Or does the leaping animation actually have two hits? (One at launch and one at landing)

It's been ages since I've played anything, so my memory is rusty. But I think that charged melee attack has invincible frames on start-up.

Hi ZignerForVideo. I am dodging attacks with the forward dodge, but cancelling the animation early with Blade Mode. You can Blade Mode cancel the forward dodge freely, so I cancel it when the hit frames of the enemy attack pass by.

so I played god hand many years ago not knowing about the ign review. my local library let us borrow ps2 games at the time, and this was one of them. afterwards I actually bought the game cause it was so good. the thing I personally had a problem with the ign review was getting ambushed on all sides by enemies. but like that's not really possible, the top right tells you where they are, and unless you have 3 second memory you'll remember there's a wall behind you. it's just so silly.

This fight has such a big impact for Red when you come back to the fight after completing the game. It's a big moment when he's the one who gets the kill. Also I always forget Luca's there until the very end
