@@tuba_ashfaq_butt It is not the lyrics of a song ... but someone tried very hard to convey the voluminous content of the information gathered .... Through a friend from Hong Kong, they met Mei Linmao and Wong Kar Wai. From the very beginning of the meeting, the artists loved each other: how much Mei Linmao likes Wong Kar Wai's movies, and how much Wong Kar Wai is addicted to Mei Linmao's music. Since 2000, for over ten years, Mei Linmao and Wang Jiawei collaborated successively on "In the Mood for Love", "2046" and "The Grand Master". Mei Linmao won the best Original Soundtrack at the 41st Taiwan Golden Horse Awards and the 24th Hong Kong Film Awards for "2046", and won the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards and the 8th Asian Film Awards for "The Grandmaster". for the best original soundtrack. Thanks to the films of Wong Kar Wai Mei Linmao, he gradually became well known to the Chinese. In "In the Mood for Love" a Latin song about the love of black jazz by Nat King Cole "Maybe, Maybe, Maybe" (Quizas, Quizas, Quizas), "In the Mood for Love" by Zhou Xuana, Beijing Opera Tan Xinpei Laosheng, Mr. "Solo River" Dihua, as well as all kinds of Pingtan, Yue Opera, Cantonese Opera ... There are so many, building up the nostalgic atmosphere of old Shanghai and the Hong Kong style of the 60's. And Mei Linmao's "Dream II Theme Song" is like "music dancing in the heart" which is without a doubt the most unforgettable tune in "In the Mood for Love". Zhou Muyun and Su Lizhen met for the first time from the walkway, to waiting for the night rain on the stairs, a private meeting in Room 2046 ... This song appeared many times, as many as eight times, playing a careful test, then again Lonely and Hopeless Spring dream. The Cello Concerto "Dream II" was originally written by Mei Linshiu for Japanese director Seijun Suzuki, but was not reused in the film of the same title by Japanese painter Yumeji Takehisa. Wong Kar-wai said, “As soon as I listened to the theme music from Dream II, I felt it fit in with the rhythm and rhythm of In the Mood for Love. This piece of music is a three-bar waltz "Peng Cha Cha" melody that requires interaction between men and women and is always a cycle. The roundabout is like the interaction between Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung in a movie. " Wong Kar-wai used it in "In the Mood for Love" saved her musical spirit. Since then, Japanese jazz musician Kakimuri adapted it to a jazz version for harmonica and guitar and used it as the soundtrack for "My Blueberry Nights" (2007), in which Nora Jones and Jude starred in the film. times at the restaurant. At the end of "In the Mood for Love", Zhou Muyun arrived at Angkor Wat alone with his longing for Su Lizhen through the door and revealed secrets to the holes in the ancient walls. At that time, "Angkor Wat Theme Song" sounded, which is very similar to "Dream II Theme Song" - Italian composer Michael Galasso took over the grim tone of the strings in Mei Linmao's songs, the cello, He violin and acoustic guitar are repeated over and over again. their respective melodies, and the trio are tangled, creating a multi-layered musical structure, as if telling about the struggles and choices of Zhou Muyun and Su Lizhen. In 2046, Zhou Muyun (played by Tony Leung) returned to Hong Kong from Singapore and stayed in room 2047 Oriental Hotel, where he began his writing career. Su Lizhen (Gong Li / Maggie Cheung), Wang Jingwen (Faye Wong), Bai Ling (Zhang Ziyi), Lulu (Carina Lau), the women around Zhou Muyun make him imprisoned in time and memory. Wandering among different women, he could never forget Su Lizhen eating noodles with him in room 2046. Mei Linmao and Wang Jiawei collaborated a second time and wrote all the original sounds of "2046". Mei Linmao said: "For those who watch" 2046 "in front of the screen, there is no doubt that" 2046 "will be considered an extension of" In the Mood for Love. " But in the creative process, I completely separated. the two. " This time Mei Linmao has been completely integrated with Wong Kar Wai's time and space. In a chaotic and intersecting chain of relationships, there is something to be lost and something to be lost. He composed the theme song "Long Journey" for the two "Su Lizhen" and the cello brought out the inexhaustible void of "Love in a Fallen City". Both Lulu and Bai Ling appeared in the Latin folk ballad "Siboney", one of them is a soulful dancer who is still looking for a man like Xu Zai in "A Fei Zheng Zhuan", "Despite bad love, despite being hurt, Finally she is the heroine of this story ”; a flirtatious woman who has a clear love-hate relationship but never got a bit of love from Zhou Muyun. What belongs to Wang Jingwen is the aria "Casta Diva" from the opera "Norma". Just as the priestess Norma in the ancient Roman Empire defied the will of God and fell in love with someone she should not love, so Wang Jingwen is also here. mourning melody is bitterly in love with a Japanese lover and bears the bitter fruit of love. Zhou Muyun in "2046" differs from Zhou Muyun in "In the Mood for Love." But in the end he was simply a man in love, as evidenced by Mei Linmao's "Polonaise". Every time Zhou Muyun walks in the dark, he plays this waltz. The waltz form is rigorous and the three-beat rhythm symbolizes the struggle between the two tangos. “Everyone who has been to 2046 has only one goal, and that is to regain lost memories. Because in 2046 nothing will change. Nobody knows if it's true, because nobody came back from there. The Bordonay stopped at the terminal along with the 2046. Everyone has their own attachments. In Wong Karwa's films, the person who loves often loses to the person he loves, with time, longing and self-esteem. And Mei Linmao accurately expresses this fatal view of love. Jealousy, pain, entanglement, helplessness, obsession, obsession ... Mei Linmao's music plays the perennial questions and questions in the world of love.

yes, slow motion and acceleration are both present in this; along with some more trickery here and there 👀. Usually i like to stay as faithful as possible to the original footage, but sometimes a bit of edit's "magic" is required to achieve the desired effect 🧙♂️ The soundtrack is still from the same composer of the OST: Shigeru Umebayashi (feat. vocals by Natalia Izawa). It was featured in the 4K remastered trailer and it striked me instantly! Anyway i edited that also: i combined it with the harmonica version of "Yumeji's theme" 😅

by the way, other than this video, i'll also publish a 4K remastered version of the original video i've made a couple years ago with "Yumeji's Theme" (As usual re-edited it from scratch -> because i'm mad). If you met someone at the wrong place and at the wrong time, and then develop feelings for them, but never really have a chance to love them, what do you do? Do you become resentful of how cruel fate was? Or do you become thankful somehow that you got to feel that way even if its just for a while?
